"Wilbur's Story" This is a great book about a very significant event in aviation history, that gets much less attention than it should. The book is lovely to look through, and very interesting and easy to read. Although the Wright Brothers are now world famous for their flights at Kitty Hawk in 1903, back in 1903 there was great scepticism as whether or not they had actually flown! - Three years later, the Herald Tribune newspaper carried an article on the Wright Brothers with the headline "Flyers or Liars?" It was Wilbur Wright's public demonstration at Le Mans on August 8th 1908 that silenced the doubters, and made the Wright Brothers world famous! Donald Holmes has thoroughly researched the events leading up to Wilbur's flight, and produced a wonderful book about them.
