I have read many books by the author Don Roley regarding the topic of ninjutsu and of the books i have read this one is one of my favorites. Don does an excellent job maintaining the voice of the original author and is able to maintain the humor of Fujita Seiko while conveying his story. What I really appreciated about this text is that you can gain a glimpse into the real life of a historical ninja and get a real sense of the type of person he was in his life. This book does a good job of demystifying the ninja and makes the author (Fujita Seiko) relatable; For example the story about him chasing people around the school yard with his fathers sword at a very young age because he was upset they were picking on his older brother had me laughing in tears but at the same time remembering that similar experiences of bullying encouraged by initial path into martial arts so in that sense I could relate to the author. I would recommend this book to anyone who is seriously interested in the... More > history of japan, ninjutsu, or martial arts.< Less
