“Nothing mattered. There was a vacant sensation. The emptiness was cavernous. Matt leaned forward, lowering her head to her hands. Blubbering, she pleaded aloud, ‘Somebody, help me.’”
After a devastating loss, Donna Bocks main character refuses to be swallowed by self-pity, changes her personal appearance, sells her home, and embarks on a journey into a new life. With great tenderness, the author allows us to witness Matt’s slow healing into a present that will surprise the reader as much as it does Matt.

The characters in Donna's novel are quirky and memorable. When I took a necessary break from reading the book, I couldn't wait to get back to find out what would happen! —Pam Suwinsky, Author of Bloomers
