Paperback, 148 Pages

Psychologist Dan Montgomery invites you into a warm conversation about the difficulties of being human, and how simple faith can infuse your life with God's loving guidance. GUIDEPOSTS Editor Elizabeth Sherrill says, “I’ve waited a long time for a book like this! Like a caring counselor in private session, Dan Montgomery writes to anyone who thinks being a Christian means conforming to someone else’s pattern. To anyone turned off by denominational squabbling. To anyone who believes his current situation is hopeless. To anyone seeking a more intimate walk with Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” An easy read, the book nevertheless shimmers with intellectual sophistication. Theologian Gabriel Fackre writes: "Christian teaching about the Trinity becomes up close and personal in this engaging work by a wise counselor. Here is enriching daily guidance from Compass Therapy for our pilgrimage with the triune God."

Jan 11, 2011ORAL ROBERTS UNIVERSITY: "A heart warming conversation and invitation. Dr. Dan Montgomery engages his reader in a meaningful conversation about life and its potential for wholeness. He invites the reader to respond to the prompting of God’s Spirit to receive His unconditional love. This book uses the Compass Therapy model to show how one may move beyond personal brokenness to live a more balanced and healthy life. Dr. Montgomery does not attack the Church nor whitewash her blemishes. His concern is the individual needing healing and wholeness. His well developed personality theory and some very moving personal stories inspire hope which heals people and their relationships through Jesus Christ." --Thompson Mathew, Ph.D., Dean, School of Theology & Missions
Jan 8, 2010Reading this inspirational book brings a very real sense of talking life over with Dan, of telling your story and hearing his responses. Lots of practical wisdom here, for finding your way through tough times, for how to lean on God, feel his comfort, and make decisions that follow Christ's will for you. Since I read it, I keep on turning to it when life gets too much to handle. I hope Dr. Dan's book is as helpful to you as it is to me.
