I wrote Understanding the Bible: A study of the Old & New Testaments to train all my church members but especially all my volunteer teachers in a basic overall knowledge of the Bible, and usually took six months of Sunday evenings to complete it, which means about twenty-hours of class work. The one comment that those who took it constantly made after they had taken the course was, “For the first time in my life I see the Bible as a whole, and I understand the content and importance of each book of the Bible. This is the first time I have ever put it all together!”
