Selected Sermons is a collection of sermons given over the past several years by Ed Sabatino Pastor of Ashton Community Fellowship in Sarasota Florida. In 2 Timothy 4:2 it commands us to preach when it is convenient and when it is not, to reprove, rebuke, encourage, and instruct. Some preaching can be used to forward personal interests over the interest of the Scriptures. It is for this reason that we must be careful how we use the pulpit. False preaching and false teaching lead people into the heretical doctrines, and counterfeit preaching can lead people down paths of destruction. However, God continues to speak through preachers today in powerful, timely, and relevant ways. Who are we to refuse to listen to God's message? Biblical preaching may not appear to be the most rational way to influence change, but the Scriptures teach us that God's ways are higher than mans way.
