As a culminating activity, the Seventh grade students of Room 211 were given the challenge to apply their knowledge of Edgar Allan Poe. They have taken old poems, nursery rhymes, fairy tales and fables, and attempted to retell them, as Poe would have. These “new” versions of old works feature his distinctive writing style, subject matter, viewpoints, and ideas about true literature.
Whether you’re a fan of Edgar Allan Poe or not, we hope you enjoy our work, or maybe, just see these old pieces in a new and different way, for this is… As Poe Would Tell It!

"As Poe Would Tell It 2006 " This is an easy reading, compilation of Poe stories, book by talented 7th graders (2006, now in 8th grade) at Thomas Edison Regional Gifted Center. Each kid's contribution to this book, in itself is unique, fun, brilliant and enjoyable to read! Kudos to their teacher-advisor, Mr.Matsumoto who made this book possible. I rate the book 4 stars.
