Most people who attend their church services each week are not hearing the gospel. They are hearing an anti-gospel. That anti-gospel is premised on a myth that all men are freed from the bondage to sin and therefore have the ability to choose, of their own free will, whether or not to believe in Jesus. The bible, however, states that man is spiritually dead and must be born again by the power of God. Ephesians 2:1-7; John 3:3-8. God has chosen his elect to be saved by his grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:3-9; 2:8-10. He imbues his elect with the faith needed to believe in Jesus. Hebrews 12:2; John 1:12-13. Under the false gospel, preached in most churches, Jesus does not choose his elect for salvation, instead all men have a free will to choose Jesus. Under the false gospel, instead of God choosing man, man chooses God. This anti-gospel is at the heart of a devilish conspiracy against God and man. All who preach that false gospel are under a curse from God. See... More > Galatians 1:6-9.< Less

This is an excellent book and is one of the best books I have read in recent years. The author is both historically and Biblically accurate which in turn means it will not be comfortable for most readers, based upon those two things alone. This book is very informative regarding the identification of the Arminian version of the Gospel as opposed to the Gospel as the Bible reveals it. For anyone who genuinely desires to understand how we got to where we are in the modern professing church they should read this book. I thank God for men like the author Edward Hendrie who are not afraid to stand for the Truth in the face of such colossal opposition. Even though the majority of the professing church today embraces the Arminian view of the Gospel anyone who is intellectually honest and sincerely desires to understand the Gospel as taught by Jesus Christ should read this book. He who has ears to hear let him hear!
