My Mother's Story Johanna Jacoba Vandermeide Volume 1 Extra
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This volume consists of writings that were covered in Volume 1, only these are a collection of what appear to be re-writes or additions to things already written. Rather than try to fit them into the time line of the first volume, which I thought would be confusing, they are preserved here as Mom wrote them. There is some history of Holland, a discussion on how the Vandermeide family name started. A little bit of detail about Jan Vandermeide (1814-1894) and his wife Willempje Appel (1812-1874).
A discussion of Peter Vandermeide (1852-1919) and his wife Jannetje Vyfluizen (1851-1924).
Another discussion of one of Peter’s brothers, Cornelis, called Kees for short. He did well financially and emigrated to the USA. He comes back to Holland to visit a few times and seems to have done well in America. When his father, Jan Vandermeide dies in 1894, Kees returns once again to visit the family. That is the last anyone in the family knows of him.
