A Father-and-Son Bicycle Trip Through the Midwest
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In the summer of 1942, William Plueddemann and his father, Edward Plueddemann, took a nine-day bicycle trip from Norwood, Ohio, outside of Cincinnati, through Indiana and Kentucky, and back to Norwood. Edward wrote about their entire trip, typing on leather bound scrapbook pages. The account is rounded out with the postcards they mailed home, accompanied by the messages retyped beneath the images. The scrapbook includes brochures and maps of state and national parks, and a hand-drawn map of their route. This book reproduces the scrapbook, including all of Edward's writing and most of the postcards and brochures. "A Father-and-Son Bicycle Trip Through the Midwest" is a nostalgic picture of America's home front during World War II.
