"Saving Pocket" This is a gem of a book. The pictures are darling and the story is wonderful. There is good biology and a good moral about wild animals needing to be wild and the affection for the little rabbit that was found newborn, reared, and finally released is very real. I would recommend it for anyone but especially kids about 6-10.

"Saving Pocket" I am a elementary librarian in Colorado and my students, at every grade level, K-5, loved this book. The pictures are fabulous and the writing is descriptive and easy to understand. I am trying to get the other librarians in the district to purchase this for their libraries. I hope to also get them a copy of the follow up book after Pocket is grown. Great book!

"Saving Pocket" "Saving Pocket" is a heart-warming, educational account about rearing a wild rabbit from infancy, and then reintroducing it to its natural habitat. It teaches that compassion is not sufficient for saving a wild animal; competence is also necessary. I loved the story from the get-go and learned several surprising facts about rabbit developmental biology. I immediately passed the book along to my young nephews (budding naturalists) because I know they will love it, too.
