"Death of Mythical Creatures” is the second book in English language by
Ellom (Elo-Mall Toomet). It starts as a continuation of the themes of
loss and hope as expressed in her previous collection, "The Pain in the
Beautiful Answer". But then the pain burns itself out with a rage and
what is left is a mythic landscape, its previous inhabitants dead
fighting each other, leaving seeds of magic and gentleness slowly growing.
It's a book that shows deep openness to the ever existent suffering in
the universe, but stands firmly on its ground of warmth, belief and
