The nightbird wraps the child in her wings, and carries her off the the
nightland. There they find out who watches over all the animals of the
night, how stars are born and what the dragonboys are up to. They also
meet the mother and father, who have much work to do while the child is
sleeping. As the morning draws near, they befriend the unicorn, who
helps the sun rise again. And as the sun is rising, the child
is carried back back home and the skies are blue as ever.
The colouring book contains 16 drawings by Ellom, accompanied by a story with a hint of Nordic mythology. Children from 2 to 6 years old will find something of interest in the book.
