Shadows of Dawn is a compilation of mostly Romantic poetry in the tradition of Wordsworth, Coleridge, Keats, and Poe. This poetry covers a variety of themes, such as love and loss, faith in Christ, joy and sorrow, and life and death. Within this collection of poetry, the cautious and deliberately speculative reader will note at all the times the dominating current of the author's faith in Christ, even when the poetry is at its darkest and most melancholy. Thematically predominate in any script of a true believer will always be the dark undercurrent of questions of faith, almost literally a dreadful cycle of “Paradise Lost” and “Paradise Regained” within his mind and heart. It is hoped that these paintings in words, these experiences captured in a bottle, so to speak, will find a place in the hearts, lives, and experiences of readers everywhere. Perhaps it can better be said by the concluding lines of "Oh For a Tender Ear:" “Most noble... More > desires---fears,/ Existence, lend me your tears."< Less

Emanuel-Let me get this straight brother...your wife gives your book a six star review, and then you respond by giving yourself a six star review?? It's almost like you're booking your own title shot. Man up and let your work stand on its own.

"Absolutely exquisite, beautifully enchanting, and positively moving!" Well, I must say that I never doubted that Emanuel would do what he set out to do. Emanuel said he would publish his work, and he did! My husband is a strongly passionate man, both towards his Creator and his love of poetry. Using his excellent knowledge of the English language, powerful word usage, and sweet romance, Emanuel has published a work of art -- Shadows of Dawn... True lovers will enjoy this love story, heart-sick Romeos will comprehend this tragedy, amateur writers will be inspired, and serious readers of poetry will be challenged.

"Whew, what a snoozer!" Mercy. at least try to make some sort of sense with your poetry. For all the high sounding phrases, this one is no better than the rap which is rampant on the web
