A post apocalyptic story told from the different perspectives of several children struggling to come to terms with their fate, the demise of their families and the ultimate destiny of human-kind. Emeleen, an eloquent young author has effectively explored themes of dictatorial rule, child exploitation and the coming of age under a tyrannical, alien dictatorship. Emeleen's diction is compelling and sincere, the characters are authentic with vivid personalities and dynamic interplay between them - and there is definitely a sting in the tail of this tale. Looking forward to the sequel which I hope for the sake of the characters has revolutionary themes.
