A highly recommended read. The novel has a good blend of action and romance, without spending too much time on either one. The characters take a bit of time to develop, but it doesn't take too long before one starts to feel for them, and keep reading to hope that they make it past the next ordeal. The action is gripping and well-written, describing in detail the physical and mental strains it puts on the main characters, and the reader can truly feel their pains. It is this that made me keep reading to find out what happened next. The only negative criticism I have is about the dialogue, which at some points feels unnatural, especially toward the beginning. However, this is easy to forgive since the characters were still being developed, and by the middle of the story, this is not a problem anymore. A job well done, Emily Anderson. I will be reading the next installment very soon!

"A great read!" I was a bit hesitant to pick this up at first, not being much of a fan of romance novels, and yet once I got into it, it proved to be quite the compelling read. From the moment you pick it up, the book wastes no time in submerging you in the action, and from the time the first bullet was fired to the end of the novel, the suspense never lets up. Even during lulls in the action, I found myself hanging on the edge of my seat, anticipating what curve would be thrown at Ann next. Though the dialogue felt a tiny bit clunky at times, the stellar action was capped off by a large, colorful array of characters, with some quick wit and lighthearted humor thrown in to add a bit of levity to any situation. Would definitely recommend.

A great story. It was gripping from the very first paragraph and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book. A very well-written novel from a clearly up-and-coming young author. Can't wait for the next.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. The Biggest Mistake was gripping throughout. A great blend of fast paced action and a well developed story. You really start to feel for Nymrak and Ann as they struggle through their many ordeals. Looking forward to the next instalment. Definitely worth a read. Props to Emily on a great work of fiction.

"Excellent!" The use of language almost seemed awkward at first, but I quickly looked past that, and almost fell in love with the depth of the characters. I found it easy to connect with them all, wincing in pain every time someone was hurt, and almost shedding a tear at their sadness at times. It really wasn't what I was expecting, going into it, and I'm glad I read it to the end. The plot was easy to follow along, even with a few twists and turns. Definitely worth the money in my eyes!
