Throughout her life, Catholic artist Mary Reardon (1912-2002) created works of art that celebrate the Catholic Church and its teachings. Most significantly, she contributed mosaic designs for two important cathedrals, the Cathedral of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC and the Cathedral of St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri. In this catalog, a compilation of essays by Emmanuel College undergraduates, these two large scale projects are examined, as are three additional projects by Reardon in which the Catholic tradition is her focus.
