Profits are plunging at Blueline, the nation’s most powerful insurance company, and its board of directors is demanding answers and a swift plan of action from its eccentric CEO. In an attempt to retain control, he calls upon his sociopathic, cold-blooded, henchman to aid him in bringing Blueline back to black. His heinous plan falls into the lap of luckless detective, Rick Derringer while he is investigating the mysterious death of a local rock star. Everything about this murder case isn’t what it seems. Even the police are acting strange. This was supposed to be easy money, put him back on top. But instead, he’s running for his life and just about everyone wants him dead, including Tyler, his best friend and black Lab. Derringer is propelled into the underbelly of corporate greed and despair, where an eclectic cast of low-lifes takes us on a journey unveiling a master plot of deception, intrigue and double-cross that no one could have predicted.
