Having finished your book "The Rock Jaw Ladies Club", I would definitely rate it as 5 stars. It was well written with many details. Having been assigned to the US to work on missile & space projects (all government supervised and funded), I found your experiences very challenging and dangerous. Most of my friends who returned from VN never wanted to talk much about the war. Now I understand better. War is Hell regardless of where it it! But if your VN experience was the not the most difficult, I would hate to experience worst actions. You should receive much credit for just surviving that War. Thanks for sharing.

American folk "heroes" like John Henry, Paul Bunyan, and Annie Christmas sprang to life in "tall tales" of the 19th century. We now have a 21st century collection of autobiographical "tall tales" that are likely to catapult the author (himself) right up among those heroes of yore. It's been said that exaggeration, hyperbole, and a modicum of humour make legends of ordinary folk. If this is true, then Mr. Baysden (not that he's ever been "ordinary") is likely to become a legend in his own time. Not since Al Capp gave us the adventures of Fearless Fosdick have we seen the antics that you'll find in this 135-page "tome." (It's not a large, scholarly book; it just contains some very TALL tales.) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

A WHOLE NEW TAKE ON AN OLD STORY. Nothing you have read or seen will prepare you for this off-beat look at Vietnam as experienced by the author. As an Advisor to the Vietnamese "Junk Force", deep in the Mekong Delta, Baysden and his colleagues were exposed to bizarre and crazy experiences that can be compared to M*A*S*H or "Catch 22". The writing is crisp and charming and the wild stories will have you laughing out loud. You will love this book ! From MW Daniel, "The Forties Fairy"

Just finished The Rock Jaw Ladies Club and found it a hoot! Mr.Baysden's stories reminded me of the softer side of that unfortunate Vietnam era and illustrate the remarkable ability of Americans of that generation to make the best out of a bad situation. I'm still sad to remember how badly returning veterans were treated by some of our fellow Americans following that unpopular war.

Great book! Every chapter is a story unto itself . . . and OH WHAT stories they are!!! You will want to read them over and over, and then AGAIN. Mr. Baysden is the quintessential "story teller." I just purchased the Kindle version of this book a couple of hours ago, and I couldn't put it down. Now, here I am at 1:45AM shouting out to the world (in the words familiar to every eBay shopper), "Buy it Now!" Perge!
