***** There are some people you see quite often and yet never know. This book was a hoot. It is so fast paced, so slowly paced, in bursts of energy or lethargy. Just as life. One is suspended in dual lives as they live them out. A man is robbing banks at the point of a gun, he does not disguise himself or wear masks or the like, rather he goes about bare faced. And no one sees him. He lives amidst thousands of people, and no one sees him. The other is family oriented, a quiet, exasperated life looking for meaning. Or something. Anything. The warmth of his family is paramount and he milks it for all it is worth, and to him it is worth much. The police are baffled over how such a robbery gang could be pulliing off these bank jobs, sometimes two or three in a day, sometimes in different cities. I loved the unwinding of the so-called plot. Loved it. And the best part is, it is simple.
