While enjoying a sunbaked and alcohol-soaked run down the Blind River, a Louisiana State Senator and his friend, the chairman of the National Defense Budget Reduction Committee, are gunned down by professional hitmen. It is up to FBI consultant Kevin Kinchen to piece together the puzzle of these murders even as he struggles to pick up the pieces of his broken relationship with his grown daughter.
