A visit to a Sunday morning car boot sale has unhappy repercussions for Andrew. He comes face to face with an object from his past, something he never thought he’d see again. Bad memories begin to resurface with a vengeance.
Driven by guilt and self-loathing he leaves his authoritarian partner Thomas and takes flight in order to avoid confronting his fears.
Thomas isn't the kind of man to just quietly accept his young lover’s disappearance. He sets out to find Andrew and make him face up to his demons.
I'm not certain that it's like The Secretary in any way, but I enjoyed reading it. Thomas and Andrew are both likeable characters with Thomas countering Andy's cheeky wit with a dry wit of his own.
"Moving On...Not a vanilla romance" Think 'SECRETARY' only James Spader's character has been replaced by an optician named Thomas and the role played by Maggie Gyllenhaal has been taken by another man. The setting is domestic as opposed to workplace based. I enjoyed this, it's erotic in an understated way. If you're a fan of stories that feature spanking and elements of domination and submission, then you'll probably enjoy this. I found the characters to be engaging and the storyline is something much more than your average spanky fic plot, it was genuinely touching in places and well written.
"Moving On by Fabian Black" I found this to a be a surprisingly satisfying read. It has a nice bit of humour to offset a serious subject matter. If you enjoy romantic gay fiction that includes a bit of spanking then you'll love this. Ste,
"Moving On by Fabian Black" I'm usually a fan of M/f spanking stories, but I have to say wow, really enjoyed. Unusually for this type of fic there really is a plot and a good story, rather than just a set of spanking scenes. Its one of those stories that I know I'll read more than once. Note to Lulu...c'mon people, does the p+p on books really have to be that expensive? krissy
