International Business: Opening a Restaurant in New Zealand

ByFarrukh Khan

New Zealand, also known as Aotearoa or the Land of the Long White Cloud in the Maori language of the earliest Polynesian settlers of the country is an island nation located on the eastern side of Australia. New Zealand has a relatively small population of about four million people and the population of sheep exceeds that of humans. The country is naturally very beautiful and has a highly developed economy which is based mostly on agricultural products as well as high technology industries. New Zealand has enjoyed a period of robust economic growth in the recent past, with low inflation and a liberal economy. This brief essay examines some of the perspectives associated with investing in a restaurant project in New Zealand to create a broad general opinion about whether such an investment is likely to be worthwhile.
