Sharp elbow; warm heart
The journey of a girl born into poverty,
From a tenement walk up
... to ...
a quiet passing into heaven
... with frequent stops:
to help people, and
love all the children along the way.

A trip down 'Memory Lane' with one of the most refreshing individuals that God gave us. John captured Evy's personality...love of children, respect for everyone, and yes 'a warm heart'! What a delight it was to read this book and to find out so many more things about her...I loved it!
Clearly, I am the author. I can't imagine a more beautiful woman for you, or your children, to read about. Her "children" are so underprivileged for her to not be around. She was in their corner. (Even when I thought paying for having garbage cans brought down to curb or brought back to the side of he house, she would patiently explain to me (like I was the village idiot) that I JUST did not understand. She was right. I didn't understand. I don't understand. I'll never understand. No wonder the children loved her. Guess I'll have to depend on the inheritance.
