It is terribly and ticklishly hard to write an objectively good piece of literature about the feelings one holds closest to one's self. Some of the greatest writers don't achieve what Finn Butler does in this slim volume: to bring ice and fire to feelings of depression and struggles with suicidal urges such that those who read it feel the cold and heat. This is beautiful writing that takes individual feelings and heart and makes them seem universal. Everyone will find something they can relate to -- even folks who don't normally read poetry.
