I'm a 4th year med student and I think this is a hilarious book. Some of my favorite cartoons are the one about stages of needing to pee during a long surgery, 10 types of patients, the cruel resident stories, and the different kinds of physician bad handwriting. Too funny! Like someone else said in their review, it reminds me a lot of Matt Groening's Life in Hell cartoons, if he had done a Medical Training is Hell book.
Some of these cartoons were side-ripping hilarious. Others warrant a chuckle. Overall, a great gift to consider for someone in your life in the medical school-resident-fellow training path. There were a few cartoons that were copied in which the writing was a little hard to read, but otherwise, it's definitely worth perusing.
Quite amusing & funny - some chuckle, some knowing smile/nod of the head, and some best not taken in following abdominal surgery ;^D Liked the ST [e.g. "future neurologists password"]and D&D references, decision-making flow-charts, "Signs you might be" sketches, and Matt Groening homages. Great gift for the medical folk in your life - and since I went to school with a lot of pre-meds I'll probably be ordering more. [Hint: after my first order I got an email with a code for free shipping on the next order]
