"Re: Book Review:" In the Hitchhike, revenge is best served cold as the host has waited for this moment, even knowing he will most likely not survive the ending.
"Book Review:" Book Review: Frank Bond Beaumier's Prose And Poetry The Hitchhike. http://www.lulu.com/browse/book_view.php?fCID=134675 This book contains short stories, play scenes from the British Stage cast “Reggie and his gals” and poetry. This anthology showcases the author’s wide range of writing repertoire. Beaumier is an accomplished author and poet. The opening story, “The Hitchhike”, fronts the cover title. A mysterious motorist picks up a hitchhiker. This bum is a freshly released convict who nurtures the idea of robbery and murder of his host. However, the table is turned upon him when he discovers that his benefactor may be just as demented as he is. He wants to escape from the car but is unable to do so. He suffers the ride and the reader can only imagine the horror of being terrorized by a maniac. The second story is “Who wouldn’t pay five bucks to fuck a college girl”. Education is supposed to be a savior in many ways. Before one can complete that... More > education, one must first pay one’s way to gain that piece of paper. It is ironic that self- proposition is the easiest and surest way. The body works to pay for the brain. This collection of short stories has macabre twists to ordinary life situations. Even death does not come easily for some. In “How Coll Died”, a widow discusses with her new lover how she has killed her husband by asphyxiation. She claims she mistook his distress for sexual ardor. One cannot help but wonder. The section on Reggie, the hermaphrodite with two female co-stars, is both highly erotic and humorous. The scenes are about the actor and actresses coping with life on and off stage. The cast is as amorous in their private lives. They exercise the dictum that the world is a stage to them and they have no qualms sharing sex openly with their trios a ménage. Reggie is a gay homosexual who is satisfied with man, woman or dog. This play is a comedy of human farce. It will help you smile, laugh and get hot just as Reggie gets hot in the face and elsewhere in his misdemeanors. The third section in this anthology features poetry. A wide range of verse that exhibit the finesse and expertise of this author and poet is included. Poetry with rigid form, meter and rhyme breaks loose with free verse. We can learn many techniques of writing by studying closely the poems.
