"An intriguing glimpse into post WWII Wisconsin" This is a fast-paced novel that kept me glued to my screen. The reader is drawn into story of murders, secret government programs, deliberate corporate obfuscation of damaging health effects, affairs, kickbacks, mobsters, courtroom drama and a mushroom that could provide the key to tying these multiple plots into a cohesive whole and solving the mystery. It is also an intriguing glimpse into late 1940s Wisconsin - both the big city (Milwaukee) and the small town up North. The author is familiar with the setting and has an in depth knowledge of medical terminology and mycology, making the story plausible and believable. I gave it 5 out of 6 stars. Some of the prose could be improved stylistically to make it smoother. Inna Larsen Author of Heartstrings and Ball of Wax
