This book, dealing with the subject of the Nativity of Jesus Christ, contains three essays:
“The Nativity Story” seeks to elucidate the original sources which tell the story of the birth of the Lord.
“The Story of the Wise Men and the Bethlehem Star” is a simplified telling of the story of the visit of the Three Wise Men, set in its ancient astronomical context.
"The Wise Men and the Bethlehem Star,” tells the same story, but in a more scholarly manner, with explanation and footnotes.
An appendix, “A Modern Parallel” shows some parallels with the birth of Joseph Smith on the Winter Solstice, 1805.
