"oh god" oh god such a great preview that I must insist my parents to let me buy it. such a great inspiration from this book. My friend has it and i almost read it all so i decided to keep the few pages till i buy it =D
"Something For Everyone!" This comic collection is a very well put together package. If you're expecting some traditional flimsy little "comic-book," you're in for a shock. This is a big thick tome that, once you hold it in your hands, already feels as if it's worth the money, before you even read it. And when you do open to read it, you'll find this book packed with entertaining stories in a variety of genres. The stories are divided by sections. There's "SUPERHEROES," which starts off with "Virtua-Girl," set in a future where the line between fantasy & reality is blurred. Then "HORROR," which features a unique tale of life, religion, and vampires called "Til Death Do Us Part." "SCIENCE-BASED FICTION" begins with "Captain Cavern," which invokes the style and spirit of old 40's & 50's comic strips. And "FRACTURED REALITY," which features "Art Sugar/Met With Resistance," a... More > cautionary tale set in a not-so-distant future where rebellious art is outlawed. There's also a nice collection of prose stories, like "FORMICA," about a young girl with a SERIOUS ant problem. And there's other extras like character sketches, and a nice article on self-publishing by Daniel Lundie, the anthology's publisher. Overall, this book really does have something for everyone in it, so I highly recommend it. Heck, if you're not encouraged just by the literary value, buy it as a future investment. Because I wouldn't be surprised if most, if not all, of the names in this book end up becoming future superstars.< Less
"Looks Promising. " This book looks interesting. It's fair in it's pricing, and packed with stuff. I'll add it to my cart and update this review when it arrives.
"Its Worth the $12" I picked this up based on a recommendation from a friend and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. There's a lot of good talent in this anthology plus it covers various genres so there is bound to be something for everyone in it.
