This volume, the fourth in a landmark set, continues the investigation of transgender realities such as crossdressing around the world and across history. The focus of this volume is the religions of the world. All the major world religions are covered. Special attention is given to Christianity, including a close examination of the biblical texts usually appealed to, and how transgender realities have been handled in the Church across the centuries.
