"A Better type of " Old School" game" As far an “Old School” d20 based game go, Wayfarer goes a bit farther then other D&D derivatives do. It offers some interesting variations rather then merely aiming to be a nostalgic, near carbon copy of the games of the “Golden Age” of FRPG's. The rules are pretty strait forward, yet allow for a level of customization that 4E and the clones of it's ancestors don't allow for. While it might not be a perfect game with newest “cutting edge” or “ innovative” rules, it is a fun & playable take on the on the “Grand Daddy” of them all, The system is easy to yweak, and it can accommodate a large variety of game styles, from low powered grim ,dark & gritty to high fantasy dungeon romps, all with out losing it's old School charm.

"Excellent System" Wow! This is a beautiful book! It's very well-written making it easy to read; it's a smart and simple system that makes it easy to play; it's easy to get started but with plenty of depth; and page after page of exquisite artwork even makes it easy on the eyes. The 431 page work is a combination players' guide, GM guide, and monster manual. I tried out the pdf and I'm ordering the hardcover now... this is just what we've been looking for. Bravo!
Refreshing...
