Blueprint For Marriage: Marriage by Design

Blueprint for Marriage is a must, because when all else fails we should, “Follow the directions.” Blueprint for Marriage is more than a self-help book; it is also a useful reference guide for counselors and marriage mentors. A design can be very complex or extremely simple, but in either case, the blueprint is a tool that can be used to recreate what somebody else has envisioned in his or her mind. When the designer and builder are one in the same, the end result is solid. In the case of marriage, we must ask the questions: “Do we have a designer, and if we have a designer, did that designer have a purpose in mind and did that purposeful design come with a blueprint?” The fact of the matter is: The Bible does reveal for us a blueprint for marriage. It is a very simple blueprint but at the same time very precise. The end result of not following God’s design is creating something different from what he intended. That’s a blueprint for disaster.
