"Day after day, alone on a hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still.
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool.
And he never gives an answer,
But the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning 'round." (The Beatles 1967)
In the spirit of the old 60's Bob Dylan, "The Fool on the Hill" provides social commentary poetry from the fool who walked alone, seemed aloof and distant, yet watched and studied those around me. I have been that loner that was the one who never quite fit in, yet embraced all equally and without judgement. Writings that were inspired by a heightened intuition and at times hypersensitivity to the life into which I found myself. Spanning over thirty years, I've picked the thirty-two poems that cover a spectrum from spiritual revelations, to political and social observations. Thirty-two poems and thirty years, of contemplating the human condition.
