How and Why ICT impacts Primary History Teaching and Learning?

ByGary Spracklen

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The main intention of this research is to explore how and why ICT impacts my Primary History teaching and learning. To complete this investigation, I have carried out self-reflective action research during my school placement in a Year 5 class. The resources and activities explored in this research are Internet Research – Webquests, Interactive Teacher Presentations, Interactive Games, Pupil PowerPoints. The overall historical theme of the resources is ‘The Lives of Victorian Children.’ Whilst using these resources myself, I have evaluated and analysed their effectiveness, drawing particular attention to how and why they impact the teaching and learning of Primary History. To do this effectively, I have considered the viewpoint of my pupils as well as significant others such as my teacher tutor, class teacher, University Link tutor who regularly observed my teaching.
