"Death's Angel" What a wild story! The author is an authority on the occult which gives this novel an authenticity that similar novels lack. All the characters are very believable, the action is very fast and exciting, and the story has some surprises.

"Death's Angel by Gawaine Caldwater Ross" A first novel by Gawaine Caldwater Ross: Death's Angel Reviewed by John R. Guthrie At once a thriller, a horror story, and a morality tale this story also includes finely detailed portrayals of witchcraft and ceremonial magick. The primary players are Long Island aristocrats. They stand in stark contrast with their nemeses, a gang of outlaw bikers. The characters are finely wrought and believable, the action is fast, and occasional dark humor intersperses the tale. The scenes are artfully constructed, vivid and highly visual. Unexpected twists in the denouement drive the story to its intense and unexpected ending. There are some tricks and the ending is quite intense. Ross has also mastered the ability to involve the reader in the deeper philosophical questions involved. Ross, of Marlboro, Massachusetts, has previously published both poetry and graphic arts.
