This book provides an overview of the social and educational barriers currently in place which prevent full educational participation by Traveller and Gypsy families. It then recommends technological solutions which could address these issues in an easy to read format.

"Publisher Review" This book was the culmination of a research project into the issues faced by Traveller and Gypsy communities across the United Kingdom. In addition to looking at the technological barriers to their learning, it also addresses the social barriers which have traditionally persisted and continue to persist to this day. Whilst not providing all of the solutions to the problems, this book does however, identify a framework in which ICT can benefit not only Traveller and Gypsy families, but other socially and educationally excluded groups. It is intended to be followed up by a further book looking at work examples using the most popular eLearning tools including LAMS and MOODLE.
