"A creative and practical guide" Agencies serving individuals with disabilities are always looking for ways to teach and engage participants, while connecting them to members of the community in meaningful ways. "Brews and News" contains all of the necessary components to accomplish this, by setting up a coffee shop and newsstand business with adults with developmental disabilities. This straightforward guide covers the practical steps, as well as the creative programming needed to draw positive interest from the community. The approach is innovative, yet realistic with this population. The ideas reflect Ms. Chapman's expertise in both the newspaper world and day habilitation services. We look forward to putting this program to use at our center!
