Cynicism, drugs and rock n roll…
Milo Snuff’s dreams are haunted by the ghost of a long dead rock n roll icon. When he starts receiving anonymous telephone calls and letters threatening that he has “5 days to live”, his dreamworld and reality terrifyingly collide taking him on an underground musical journey that includes the world’s shortest lived punk act, a betrayed and psychotic lead singer and the most bizarre Elvis impersonation act ever witnessed.
NEEDLE – a darkly comic thriller about the dangers of honest music journalism.
"A wonderful mix of farce and thriller. I defy anyone with a well-developed sense of humour to find NEEDLE anything less than superbly entertaining."

"NEEDLE" "Needle" is an outstanding peice of work. The main character, Milo Snuff, is brilliantly conceived and well developed throughout the book. The other characters are also well managed by the author, effectively illuminating different sides to Milo's character. The narrative techniques work well and I can't praise the quality of language enough. Overall the book has a blend of brillian characterisation, quirky detail, trendy setting and top-quality writing. This is an author absolutely in control of his world. Most crucially there is nothing on the market at the moment quite like it. In short, Needle sparkles. It's a dazzling piece of writing - clever, tightly plotted, engrossing and hilarious.
"needle geoff turner" I really enjoyed this , read it pretty much in one sitting. I have to say,the word farce in the review filled me with a small amount of dread that went away after the first couple of pages. It is a witty, incredibly tight and well written book ,with Milo's editor and wife strong characters in their own right, rather than sketches to move the plot along. The "hero" Milo is not a very likeable chap but I found myself really liking him. I would have to say overall I thought it was great and I will be recommending this to my friends.
"Needle By Geoff Turner" A superb debut novel, an engrossing and thrilling piece of work. The characters are well developed and the story moves along at cracking pace with humour about as dark as it comes, this is a must read for all music fans.
"Needle by Geoff Turner" What a great debut, I really enjoyed this book. Love him or hate him Milo Snuff is fascinating character and I could have read Needle in one or two sittings. There are some real laugh out loud moments and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys thrillers, humour or music! Looking forward to reading Turner's next book.
