This is the Ph.D. dissertation of Geoffrey Allan Plauché. Plauché is an Adjunct Instructor at Buena Vista University. An Aristotelian-Liberal political philosopher, he received all his degrees from Louisiana State University: B.A. in History and Political Science (2002), M.A. in Political Science (2004), M.A. in Philosophy (2006), and his Ph.D. in Political Science (2009). His work has appeared in the Journal of Libertarian Studies, the Journal of Value Inquiry, and Transformers and Philosophy. He is the webmaster for The Libertarian Standard, Founder and Executive Editor of Prometheus Unbound: A Libertarian Review of Fiction and Literature, and a proofreader for Born and raised in Louisiana, he lives in Nebraska City, Nebraska with his wife Sajida and daughter Sophia (2009).
