BECOMING ME - AS I THINK IT HAPPENED
eBook (PDF), 612 Pages
A lighthearted, insightful recollection of people and activities that helped shape the septuagenarian author - now a complex mixture of what he came into this world with; learned from experience; learned by observing, reading, thinking, and discussing; and learned through the Divine Spark which he believes is God's all pervasive presence. Readers will be enthralled by the conversational, thought-provoking presentation of this Canadian's adventures, ideas, opinions, observations, and philosophy ... especially as fragments of their own memories echo in their minds.

Nov 23, 2009Ta-da I am pleased to announce that I now have finished reading every single one of the 611 pages in your book published in 2008! Writing a book about one’s life is a challenge and a joy that many of us think about from time-to-time and would really like to do, but never seem to get around to doing. It’s probably not so terrible that we don’t – because most of us don’t have the talent, patience, skills, recollection recall and stick-to-it-ive-ness to really pull it off to the point where anyone (including close family – never mind friends and strangers) would choose to read it. So, George Jardine, I extend to you two hearty pats on the back for having pulled it off – you actually did do it! You have a talent for writing in a conversational style that makes for easy reading. Congratulations to you! I found it to be quite a remarkable accomplishment!

George Jardine is a talented spokesman for us and for all who know the joy of standing on the shoulders of our Canadian giants. He examines his roots with artful simplicity and gently reminds us where we have been. This book is a great Canadian secret revealed. Like the rest of us Canadians George is a... More > simple enigma who shares the secret of being Canadian: living life to the fullest. Be fooled by the honesty and courage reflected in this autobiography. I was gripped from the first to last page. This autobiography speaks to Canadian freedom. We are who we say and and we are what we do, and we value that.
