From the book....
"I remember standing outside our back door in the early evening with my sister. There was gunfire and bombs going off......... My sister grabbed my arm and pulled me into the house. With that the tail-fin off the bomber came crashing down and slid down the wall".
"I didn't realise, but when the Verger had walked past the static camera, he had said, “I’ll give it six weeks,” not realising the camera was on. Oh Dear!".
"A ton of sea water came in and drenched us all. It ruined my shoes and my dress suit was pretty bad. When I reached the other side, I tripped off and drove home wrapped in a large blanket. It was all good fun though".
