I am about halfway into this story and I am enjoying it very much. The only thing I can't get past is the punctuation/lack of editing. Is this because I downloaded the free PDF file of the story? One example, there are quite a few run-on sentences with lack of comma's. I am not an English major by any means, but there are WAY too many exclamation marks, they seem to be an error with the file or something as I can't think of ANY reason why someone would use a "!" in certain spots. This is a great book, however, and you should read it. I was assigned to read it as one of our texts in college. It definitely beats the crap out of the other book we're reading. Please, someone tell me, is the regular book like this? Is it just the downloadable PDF? I would appreciate a response. Thank You :) Grant Armantrout, UT

Colors is beautifully written - thought provoking, with many interesting characters. The author is very knowledgeable, and truly believes in the premise of this work. A great read!

"A lovely tale..." Colors reminds me of the beautiful old-fashioned science fiction tales of my childhood by Jules Verne, H. G. Welles, Arthur Conan Doyle (yes, he wrote science fiction too), Alexander Belayev and, particularly, Ivan Yefremov. While the style is somewhat stylized, and the story is a bit contrived in places, Colors is still a wonderful read. In addition, it is technologically and scientifically intelligent thanks to the author's painstaking research into various innovations - something so many modern science fiction writers forget to do, going only for cheap thrills. Overall, this is a great addition to anyone's sci-fi collection!
