Collection of classic TARDIS Tales comic adventures from cult Kiwi cartoonist Graham Muir. These were published as a regular contribution to the New Zealand Dr Who Fanzine over a period of many years. Written in Graham's typically irreverent style, there are adventures giving a cross section of his entire body of work. Enjoying the fun are a number of different incarnations of the Dr, as well as that legendary comic character; Saucer Smith.......& of course Birdy. As well as being entertaining, this collection is smartly published & presented. There are some interesting commentaries in the book; these provide some fascinating insight into the different periods of Graham's cartooning career & the politics of the Who fan scene in New Zealand at the time. Also there some touching acknowledgements (& memorials) to family, friends & others in the NZ Dr Who family - that have provided the rich tapestry of experience that Graham has drawn upon for inspiration over the... More > years. Fantastic value for the money & an entertaining read, the TARDIS Tales Treasury would make a unique & quirky keepsake. A book that should take pride of place in the collection of any discerning Dr Who aficionado.< Less
