This book shines with the love and grace of God. Linda and Greg Crowhurst have known suffering as a personal experience and this book shows how God can turn something that seems so negative into something positive. Suffering is a very difficult subject to deal with. The question of why God allows us to suffer is something we all struggle with from time to time. And although many have theologised and philosophized, it is hard to find a satisfactory answer. But one thing we can know is God is with us in the midst of our suffering. This is what this book is about. The meditations and prayers in this book are brief but full of meaning. Sometimes when our minds are blank or when suffering is so great it seems it's impossible to find the words to express what we are feeling, it's good to have something to read that can prompt our prayers and draw us out of ourselves and into the presence of God. I've felt lifted into God's presence as I've been reading through this collection of... More > contemplations and prayers.< Less

The wonderful thing about this book is that one doesn't have to be overtly "religious" to receive deep comfort from its beautiful and wise contents. I highly recommend "Unstoppable Spirit" as an ideal gift for those who suffer and their families or carers to read and take reflective solace in.

An absolutely wonderful book. It speaks with great understanding because the author knows through first hand experience, what it is to suffer. Beautiful prayers that I'm sure will help me cope with my illness. I recommend this book to everyone that is suffering in body or mind and any carers out there. This book leaves you with a sense of hope for the future, and for me a deeper faith and trust in God.
