"Freedom City" This was an incredibe book from start to finish. Character development was exceptional and the plot, although somewhat disturbing, may not be all that far fetched when one consider's society's view of queer people and the current political environment. A follow up book depicting the next stage of Benjamin's life following his exodus from Freedom City would be very well recieved. Definately worth the read and highly recommended.

"Freedom City" An excellent book ... Couldn't get enough! My only complaint is that the end came to soon. The storyline with it's many twists, surprises, ins and outs forces the reader to press on, to discover, to solve the mystery that is Freedom City. I was drawn into the planned escape and schemed and plotted, felt the disappointments and revelled in the moments of exhilaration experienced by each character. I am really proud of Greg's accomplishment not only as a fellow Caribbean man but as a curriculum specialist in the area of Language Arts who witnesses first hand, and on a daily basis, the struggles of our young males with verbal, oral and self expression. This brother has blazed a trail and is continuing to forge a path which our young men can follow. This trek as detailed in Freedom City speaks volumes of the need to exist as an individual and to be accepted for who we are and as how we were created. It also, at the same time, teaches of the need to empathise with,... More > and be tolerant of the biased who in their ignorance create a furnace of torture and discomfort not only for those who bear the brunt of their criticisms but for themslves. It points out that insularity can only lead to the downfall of the haughty and preaches the merits of unconditional love and forgiveness. The insights I have gained from reading this book are many and I could go on and on...Suffice it to say however, Well done Sire...Keep on doing what yuh doing...and please poor little Oliver Twist I beg...CAN I HAVE MORE?
