This is a fun book which provides clear descriptions of a wide variety of different types of push-ups. The author's charmingly dry humor makes it more entertaining to read than you might otherwise imagine it would be. In addition, he gives good and compassionate advice for beginners who may be having difficulty with making progress in fitness. Disclosure: I reviewed an early draft for Mr. Windsor.
Excellent little book, great introduction to interval training gives advice on how to get started when you "can't" do push-ups. Most importantly it goes through and shows detailed examples of variations on the usual push up that help to build core strength and keep things interesting, Thanks for writing it [+]
I'm a physical education professional, and I've just finished reading it. Incredibly useful and challenging book! The intro alone is chock full of valuable training advice for any physical exercise or exercise program, and the push-up exercises themselves are fabulous. In between sections I stopped to do a few push-ups - I look forward to learning and completing all the exercises! Far more practical than the latest pot-boiler paperback novel - highest recommendations! Sean Hayes Fencing Master University of Oregon Northwest Fencing Academy
