The Power of Small Groups in Making Disciples

Many experts or authorities in disciple-making ministries and global evangelism believe the Great Commission can be fulfilled to a large degree through the effective use of small-group strategies. Church historian Earle Cairns proposes that “Bible study and prayer in small groups will promote revival, witness, and fellowship.” Missionary and researcher Joel Comiskey insists “As the population continues to explode in the twenty–first century, the cell church model holds exciting possibilities of reaching a lost world for Jesus Christ." This book looks to the Scriptures for insights and lessons for contemporary groups. More specifically it takes a close look at the model Jesus provides for us with his equipping ministry of the twelve disciples.
