The "thin place" between the natural and the supernatural that Harrison Grey calls the Borderland in his book Journey to the Borderland is encountered in the bereavement experience. He describes and brings clarity to this process as an opportunity for physical, emotional and spiritual growth through the often arduous journey to peace of mind, body and spirit. His use of familiar stories and real life experiences lens credence to his premise and encourages the heart and mind of the reader to look anew at this journey we will all encounter and the promise of peace it offers. This book is fresh bread from familiar ingredients.

This is a creative and wise book. It offers insights and encouragement not only for healing through grief but for understanding times of loss and suffering in the the larger context of our journey as human (and spiritual) beings. In a clear-as-a-bell style, using sacred texts, time-tested stories and his considerable experience as a counselor, Harrison Grey helps us track grief's inner and outer landscape. Ultimately he shows how the scorching pain and disequilibrium of loss can, if we are patient, open doorways to growth and deep, at times unexpected, strengths. He shows how hearts that are broken can not only heal but once again open.
