"Wow" I am not a big poetry guy, but I checked out your preview and I am ordering the book for my wife. 4 years of college without a single poem ever hitting me the way your first sample did.. Maybe I am just getting old. Great stuff. Eric Josephson www.lulu.com/gineric

"Poetry in Top 100" Congratulations Friend! I was just browsing the top 100 to see how many poetry books were there, and came across yours. That alone filled me with excitement. Then I read your great preview, and became even happier. Thank for bringing a little warmth to my heart on this dismal cloudy day. Much Love, David A.

"fabulously inventive" I haven't read enough of this wonderful poet, so I'm snatching the opportunity to buy his book. What an amazing ability he has to invent clear, entertaining, colorful, and strong stories/poems. (storoems)

"Bravo!" From your noisy Mexican luncheon, to walking your pups to see "hooters" and the Centurion at Calvary your literary offering was magnificent. From childhood your insights and abilities have more than impressed me... this literary effort, even more so. I had the opportunity to browse Mother's autographed copy during my visit to Columbus earlier today. Not only did I enjoy your offerings; but, it brought to mind long ago days of visits to Hardeman Avenue, the worm bed in the back yard and duck pins at Indian Springs. Inspiring, humorous and thought provoking. Please continue to pen your thoughts and feelings. Tony Gilleland

"The book that brought me here.." This is the book that made me write a book and put it on Lulu. "Poetry w/o pretense" it advertised. Which is very true( I am a poet chock full of pretense- so after reading the review I felt a tad bit "disinfected"). "Poetry for the COMMON MAN." the title proceeds to offer. "Right on." You say to yourself- as you are a COMMON MAN(or woman as the case may be). But you read a bit about the author- anything but common. You think to yourself-" A professor of microbiology wrote THIS?" I imagine microbiology would put the world in a bit of "perspective" so to speak- but the man has found his calling in poetry, and the world would be a lesser place if he stopped. -Joe G.
